Aaron Markham
About Aaron…
Aaron and Casey married in 2015. Their first child, Audrey, was born in February 2020 and their second, Samuel, in August 2021. Aaron majored in mathematics at Furman University, which is also where he became a follower of Jesus. He went on to complete a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Casey and Aaron spent a couple of years doing college ministry at Christ Fellowship Cherrydale before moving to Nairobi, Kenya for two years to serve local churches ministering to people living with HIV & AIDS. Aaron has been at Ridgewood since September 2019.
What do you love about serving at Ridgewood?
I love that our members have an eager desire to glorify God, grow in holiness and godliness, and make Jesus known in Greer and to the ends of the earth. It is a joy to play a part in leading Ridgewood more and more towards these things. I love getting to serve people that I dearly love and consider beloved friends. I love getting to pour my life out for the sake of Christ and for the sake of our church body.
What do you do when you are not serving?
I love spending time with my wife, daughter, and son! We love having people in our home and sharing meals with others. Personally, I enjoy watching the English Premier League (Go Arsenal!), going for the occasional jog, playing sports and reading.
